This year I will attend the four stages of the Fujifilm X Vision Tour in Rome, Catania, Bologna and Milan with the photo exhibition “Maiora premunt”, a project realized along the central Apennines, which documents the alteration of social life and of the concept of “community” in the post-earthquake period in the Italian medieval villages.
The first appointment is on Saturday May 26th at the “EX Dogana”, Viale dello Scalo S. Lorenzo 10, Rome. During the day there will be many interesting meetings with other colleagues and at 6 pm I will hold a talk on the various approaches used to tell what wars leave behind, between the loss of humanity, the scars impressed in people’s memories, and the places marked by conflicts.
Three different projects that in the last 10 years have led me to tell about the ghosts of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2009-2012), the exodus of the Syrians between the Balkans and Europe (2013-2017), until the civil war in Yemen (2018). A journey on the importance of using photography as a personal and collective testimony. http://xvisiontour2018.fujifilm.it/Tappa/2
