This reportage was realized on June 18-20th 2017 on assignment for Vanity Fair (Italy). Following the earthquake of 24 August 2016, in which almost 300 people died, thousands of evacuees have been moved to the Adriatic coast, awaiting the earthquake-proof wooden houses. I have documented daily life in the Marconi hotel, where about 90 earthquake victims are staying, even if most of them hope to be able to return soon to live in the mountains. “This hotel is not a home” for them.
